<FONT FACE="Arial">Devoya Mayo hosts. Four Chicano MCs/ Hip-Hop Musicians: GIANT, JACINTO,BIG DAN, SOMOS. They’re currently recording and building their fan base out of the Bay Area. However, they represent various generations, diverse experiences and parts of California , from San Diego , Salinas to Oakland . They have an unheard, yet world wide sound and have been featured at local hip-hop clubs, live radio freestyle sessions, festivals, community rallies and local open mic’s. They’ve performed alongside many artists, including Clyde Carson, Zion I, Deuce Eclipse, Goapele, Native Gunz, Common Market, Blue Scholars, Rico Pabon, FrontLine , Los Rakas, Ise Lyfe, One Struggle, Fuga and many other well established Bay Area artists. With their 2008 debut Album</FONT><U> <FONT FACE="Arial">BRWN BFLO</FONT></U><FONT FACE="Arial">, “potential to national exposure and success will come”, says Big Dan. “Our spanglish and world wide music influence will shake this entire music business”, says Giant.</FONT></P>

</FONT></B><FONT FACE="Arial">Rick Flores is filling in for Jim and Annie and will be looking back at 1968 with a Pacifica Archives special "1968- Revolution Rewind" which showcases the powerful artistic contributions made within this year of turmoil: the sounds of Bob Dylan, Alan Ginsberg, Melina Mercouri, Sun Ra, Phil Ochs, Abbie Hoffman, James Baldwin, Langston Hughes, and others. Followed by three hours of the music of the era.</FONT></P>
