Full Circle? My garden? I'm up for it and will present it to FFS at our Wed night meeting April 12. Will send copies of this to Vic Bedoian, Sue Kern & Rick Flores. Eva Scow is coming by to plan her concert at the Bonner on May 12--I'll ask her if she could get a group to play. Joel Pickford wrote: Pat, Hopw about a benefit concert for the KFCF transmitter? We raised nearly $3000 at my brother's Katrina benefit without even charging a cover! I will be happy to have my band play and to get other bands as well. FYI, I am doing a benefit concert on Sunday, April 30 with four bands, including mine, for the Chong Yang family, victims of that horrible trailer fire. We could do something for the transmitter fund in late May. let me know what you think. Joel --- Pat Wolk wrote: > Hi folks-- > Pat Wolk here. I inquired about the Rotary Theater which is operated by Visalia Unified Schools and is available on Saturday June 17. It seats 327 and is a nice art deco building. The rent is $450 plus security guards and a tech person which are required. My estimate, based on three hours of use, is $700 to $750, which includes the insurance coverage from our broker. The musicians will probably want $500 each - that's not final yet. We can sell food and drink but not liquor. I talked with Dennis Melkonian, Randy's tour manager and it sounds ok to him. He will talk to Randy today about these details. Dennis thinks we should charge $20 for tickets (at least). Does this sound all right to everyone? If so I will proceed to make the reservation. And when you say the musicians would want $500 each, how many musicians are we talking about? Somehow I thought Randy would be donating his time. ----- Original Message ----- From: Vic Bedoian To: fundraising at kfcf.org Sent: Tuesday, April 11, 2006 12:19 PM Subject: [FFCF-Fundraising] Randy Sharp Concert Hi, Things are coming together on the Randy Sharp KFCF benefit concert in Visalia. All the hard work is being done for us. I'll have more info on this soon but so far here's the deal: What: A musical event featuring local musicians including : Ted Nunes and/or Richfield, Blake Jones, some of the folks from Sippy and Old Guzzler (60's music), and others, and a multi-media film presentation between acts. Food is being donated by Veni Vidi Vici and possibly the Landmark restaurants. When: May 6 roughly 3 to 6 pm Where: Club Fred We will need volunteers to help take money, staff the tables, and other chores, and someone to talk a little about the station. Bob Lambert is doing a poster and promotion announcement. One suggestion was to charge $8, which sounds ok to me as there are a lot of things happening that weekend in town. That's it for now. More when I know. I love the spontaneous help we're getting from the community - it's very energizing. Vic -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
